Lamonby recruitment have a brand-new vacancy for an Acoustic Control Estimator to join one of our clients, a leading designer and manufacturer and installer of ventilation, heating, cooling and acoustic solutions, near Bradford. The successful Acoustic Control Estimator will be offered inhouse product training as well as the opportunity for additional training courses should they wish to attend them.
This role will predominately be office based with the occasional site visit as and when required to various locations in the surrounding areas i.e. Leeds, Huddersfield, Keighley.
Acoustic Control Estimator Role
Produce cost estimates for noise control equipment
Acoustic design, specialising in bespoke solutions
Liaising and developing relationships with clients throughout the sales process
Producing initial designs and calculations for the range of noise control equipment
Undertake customer visits, where required, to discuss and propose solutions
Providing technical support and specification information to clients
Answering technical queries from customers and internal
Site surveys and client meetings to either negotiate orders or progress ongoing projects
Working with the company’s sales team to assist in negotiation and closing of orders
Liaising with internal departments ensuring they have the relevant information for the project.
Producing reports and feedback on productivity and accuracy.
Any other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
At least 3 years’ experience Estimating and Designing Acoustic Solutions.
Ideally qualified to Degree (or HND) level qualifications (or equivalent) in an Acoustic control or similar subject
A sound knowledge of current legislation and upcoming developments in legislation that could provide technical advancement in the AHU sector including standards, specifications and building regulations.
Ability to deliver design goals, management of design process to keep. deliverables on track.
Working to ISO9001 quality procedures and CDM regulations
Strong client relationship skills.
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills plus high standards for the quality of written work and drawings.
