Gattaca PLC is a global Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) business specialising in supplying Talent solutions to the world's biggest businesses.

Gattaca Projects is the Engineering and Technology consultancy part of the group providing Statement of Work, outcome-based solutions to some of the worlds biggest companies. Industry trends are pushing more engagements towards SoW and therefore we are seeing significant demand for our services and as such we are investing and growing the team.

We currently employ 10 staff and over 30 suppliers in engineering and technical services in the UK, with the wider group engaging over 10,000 personnel deployed in the UK. We operate across verticals including Mobility, Defence, Energy &Nuclear and Public Sector.

About the role

As Principal Project Manager you will be the most senior PM within the business and set that standard for others to follow. You will be directly involved in supporting our most significant projects and be responsible for the delivery of a multimillion pound portfolio.

Reporting to the Technical Director, this role is responsible for supporting the planning and managing of the successful delivery of all projects within the Gattaca Projects business. This role will see you work closely with the Technical Director and deputise for them when needed. You will be comfortable delivering information to the Senior Leadership Team as well as supporting the Technical Mangers with day to day governance.

You will be the people manager for the PM resources within the business. The project management team support all 4 sector verticals and are responsible for supporting effective delivery and reporting on status, cost to date, expected cost to complete and identification of issues to the Technical Managers and Technical Director.


Ownership of the Gattaca Projects PM function, you will support delivery of a portfolio of projects with direct responsibility for completing the PM activities on specific projects.

Supporting the TM's provide fully resourced project plans, work breakdown structures, budget management, project reporting, including the completion of robust risk identification, management and mitigation actions.

Create and build strong relationships with internal and external customers, staff, suppliers and other stakeholders.

The development of the PM team to meet with existing and future demand.

Responsible for making appropriate decisions in relation to the management and execution of projects, directing remedial action as required to ensure project success.


Have a detailed working knowledge of current Project Management processes and methodologies.

Excellent interpersonal skills and judgment required for dealing with both internal and client relationships to develop strong working relations

High levels of business and commercial understanding and a capability to understand and balance short and long term project issues with the ability to recognise business impacts and manage stakeholders accordingly


10 years experience within a technical or professional services environment managing projects.

Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams and used to dealing with external clients and project and business stakeholders.
