Job Description:
A special needs college based in Newcastle are looking for a Learning Support Assistant / LSA for an immediate start. The students who attend this school have Autism and are aged from 16 to 25 years old.
The ideal candidate is someone who has previous experience of supporting young adults with special needs.
This is a full time post.
To be part of this team you will ideally need to have:
- Experience working as a special needs Learning Support Assistant
- Previous special needs experience, preferably Autism
- Experience managing challenging behaviour
- Experience of working in a complex setting
- A child and adult DBS or be willing to apply for one
