Licensing Assistant needed in Newton Abbot paying £10.39 per hr- Reference: 5208550

This is a full time role on a temporary basis

 This role will involve:

• To be a point of contact for Licensees, members of the public, Councillors, Police and Fire Authorities and representatives of Local Authority departments in co-ordinating, processing and issuing licences under the Licensing Act 2003 and other statutory provisions.
• Act as a point of contact for Licensees, members of the public, Councillors, Police and the Gambling Commission under the Gambling Act 2005.
• Ensure licensed premises are operated in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005 objectives.
• To deal with Hackney Carriage Operators, vehicles and drivers as required under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
• Ensure all applications, processing and issuing licences under other statutory provisions are carried out.
