Location – Birmingham (Walsall)
Salary - £42260
Training available – On Various OEM Equipment and qualifications available
Shifts Available – 4 on 4 off Days role
The Company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our client. They are a large Global business based in Birmingham who have been established for over 50 years. Our client supplies a specialist product to some of the largest OEMs in the world. This well-known and large global manufacturing group have recently acquired several large contracts. Our client currently makes 137million a year in the UK, this is an excellent time to join a large manufacturing group with strong backing from large American manufacturing group.
Our client is a huge believer in training so the opportunity progress and receive industry relevant training is top notch. Our client is an industry leader and has a great reputation in the market and a huge order book and looking to bounce back after the pandemic.

Overview Maintenance Engineer Role
You will be working in a heavy industry environment.
Carrying out reactive maintenance on production equipment and machines across all the production facilities. The role will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM driven. You will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture and have individual project ownership as you grow your career within the company. You will be working on casting equipment, robotics, conveyors and various other technical equipment
Mechanical duties
- Working on Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Replacing components like for like on large heavy industrial equipment.
- Fault finding mechanically on all factory equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Ability to weld and grind
- Reading equipment drawing
- Following weekly and monthly PPM plans when required.
You will be working in a heavy industry environment.
The Candidate
The Maintenance engineer formally qualified in mechanical maintenance
Experience working in a heavy industry will be preferred but not essential.
The Benefits
Salary - £42260 OTE 50K plus
