The Role

The school are looking for a highly skilled HLTA with experience of working with highly complex A.S.D./SEMH pupils. You will be supporting them developing their day to day and academic skills as well as their social emotional needs, in preparation for their transition to secondary education. You will have a timetable to provide interventions and cover classes across the school. As part of your role the school would ideally like to cover PE  To complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities both in and out of school, under an agreed system of supervision that supports the teacher with learning outcomes.

The School 

This specialist SEMH school is based in Greenwich and is specifically for primary aged children in the borough who have suffered trauma within their young lives.  There is a a highly committed team who hold the interests of each and every child at the heart of everything they do. In addition to the main school, they also have specialist provision for pupils from mainstream schools who have SEMH and behavioural needs and require additional support for a short time. They also have a specialist provision for pupils with ASD and an outreach team. The school offers training and development for all their staff.
