Full-time (37 hours per week) Data Lead - Waste Services contract to start on 16-07-18 until 14-09-18 with a possible extension.
Develop, manage and maintain the Waste Service’s waste data management and weighbridge systems.Collate and interpret the statistical information, producing regular reports and summaries.
Manage and maintain the Clients specialist computerised weighbridge data systems, identifying and rectifying daily miscoding.
Manage customer accounts for those using the weighbridge, including raisinginvoice, checking paperwork, monitoring payment and chasing outstanding debt.
Be responsible for the training of operational management and staff on site in the use of the computerised data systems, carrying out regular update training sessions.
Manage contractors, and partners to ensure that both statistical and financial reporting and claims under existing waste contracts are accurate and within the terms of the contract/arrangement, identifying and rectifying with contractors any variances that do occur.
Ensure the Client’s statutory returns are entered into the national WASTEDATAFLOW account and act as the key contact for any queries that arise with the Environment Agency (as regulator) following the submission of information.
Assist in the development and maintenance of models for forecasting waste flows, presenting reports to Senior Managers as required.
Compile statistics, financial information and other performance monitoring information as required by Government and the Council.
Ensure all Service Budgets are monitored on a monthly basis, with forecasts updated from tonnage models and contract prices.Monitor any variances in gate fees & material prices.Advise the Service Manager of any significant issues.
Manage existing projects and develop new projects that implement strategic service improvements and developments in line with the Client’s Waste Strategy.
