Job Description:
Hello Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant / TA for a special needs school in South Tyneside.
The role is to support children who are of secondary age. The classes are of mixed abilities and needs and a small portion of students can display challenging behaviour.
The children who attend this school have a variety of special needs including Autism and other learning difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will be experienced in supporting children with special needs, preferably in a special needs school.
The post will commence in September 2022.
To be part of this team you will ideally need to have:
- A Teaching Assistant qualification (although it is not essential)
- Previous experience of supporting children with special needs, particularly in a special needs school
- Experienced with a variety of special needs
- Experience managing challenging behaviour
- Experience supporting secondary aged students
