Job Description:
If you want to work in a health and environmental business this could be the one for you. This is a micro business that has been manufacturing drinks and food supplements. It has organically grown and now needs support with process and quality management.
The salary will be circa £28 - £35k PA
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
· Ensure Quality is first and foremost consideration in the Operations area
- With management support, develop and embed the evolving quality management system
including HACCP, incident reporting, product traceability and recall and management
review.
- Develop an understanding of all compliance requirements for food and feed
manufacturing
- Manage product testing schedule & outputs
- Maintain product ingredient and packaging specification
- Deliver quality accreditations as agreed with management
- Overseeing and monitoring customer service calls
· Plan and manage operations
- Plan production schedule and resourcing requirements
- Ensure dispatch carried out accurately, to quality standards
- Develop a training matrix
- Manage inventory and security
- Organise warehouse space to improve efficiency
· Manage and motivate the team
- Conduct one to one’s
- Undertake appraisals
- Manage absence
- Recruitment and induction
· Manage Health and Safety
- Lead relations with Health & Safety advisors
- Develop health & safety procedures
- Ensure staff are trained in procedures
Experience/background:Team lead in a manufacturing or warehouse/ environment
Experience in quality management is a distinct advantage
Skills:
Supervisory skills
Good standards of communication both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively with external consultants to develop systems/processes/protocols to develop a compliant production regime
