Logistics Service Operatives Wanted!


Location: Cheltenham

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time vacancies available

Salary: £20,190.97 per annum, good holiday allowance and a retention bonus


We are looking to grow our existing Logistics team at this prestigious site in Cheltenham, and have Full-time vacancies available.


Our current rate of pay is £20,190.97 per annum. Also included is an annual retention bonus of £2,000 (pro-rata), plus a holiday allowance of 30 days holiday per year, including Bank Holidays, plus 2.5 Privilege days per year, increasing to 35 days after 5 years service.

As a Logistics Services Operator you will be responsible for undertaking a range of Logistics activities relating to collection, carriage and delivery of a range of items, waste management and recycling and mail, ensuring that high standards are maintained throughout.

You will also be given the opportunity to become skilled in a range of Logistics functions.

These are full time positions working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, this will be arranged on a shift rota basis covering the hours of 6:00 am to 4.30 pm.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Meet operational requirements, demonstrating a high level of flexibility, initiative and multi functionality.
  • Carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Drive vehicles and operate mechanical handling equipment on and off site.
  • Account for logistics tasks in order to maintain an audit trail.
  • Comply with health and safety and emergency procedures and abide by all appropriate Risk Assessments.
  • Wear and maintain all items of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Carry out vehicle and machinery inspections before use and complete the associated paperwork.
  • Report all unsafe conditions, damage and near misses to the Appropriate Person.
  • Become familiar with and comply with, all site rules, regulations, safe practises and procedures affecting health and safety.


  • To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
  • A Fork Lift Truck Licence would also be advantageous.


On commencement of employment there is also a 2.5% of annual salary ‘Golden Hello’.
