Job Description:

James Adams has partnered with a leading UK based Construction business who are looking to hire an interim Programme Manager to assist with a large scale business change Programme across all of their key UK business Units. The Programme Manager will be helping to drive this transformation which will be focused on adopting a future ready Sustainability ethos across all business areas with a focus on achieving environmental and social sustainability goals. 

As Programme Manager for this Sustainability work stream you will report to the Sustainability Director and will support the delivery of our customer's Sustainability Framework by managing and driving a programme of activities and initiatives. You will engage with stakeholders in all function groups and divisions, as well as external providers and technical experts to achieve the business's Sustainability goals. 

Our client has a world class team of sustainability experts, so previous experience working across construction or sustainability is not required (Although it would be helpful). The focus for this requirement is on a high level of experience and confidence across Business Change & Transformation. The Programme Manager will manage a number of major projects and co-ordinate the programme of activity as well as plan ahead for strategic group board level meetings to ensure successful delivery of high quality outcomes. 

As Programme Manager you will: 

  • Support the Head of Sustainability Delivery and the Head of Corporate Sustainability on their work programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs as required.
  • Be proactive in pursuing sustainability initiatives by continually driving engagement with various teams through collaboration.
  • End to end project management and co-ordination of data by developing appropriate project plans, producing feasibility and technical analyses of technologies and initiatives, and supporting the development of financial business cases and operational implementation plans

This role is yet to be determined as to IR35 status but the business will assess each assignment individually as to it's IR35 status based on a number of key factors. If you'd like to know more please get in touch.
