Overview

Our clients are a well established cost consultancy located in Birmingham and are currently looking for an Assistant level M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

Ideally this person will have gained a couple of years commercial experience in an M+E QS focused position post-graduation, however candidates who have followed a different path in their QS career thus far will also be considered.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of M&E focused projects, including major clients in telecoms so there will be an excellent opportunity to gain experience on a variety of projects varying in size and complexity.   

Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 1-2years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E focused projects.
• Preferably come from a degree background in Quantity Surveying, however we will also consider candidates who have progressed within a company to gain their QS experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of M&E within construction projects, including costing and valuations.
• Strong communicator who is comfortable in client facing situations, capable of adapting to project and/or client requirements and working closely with the surrounding commercial team.
• One of the most important aspects we look for in candidates is their passion and drive, we are proud of the projects we deliver and whoever joins the team needs to have that same enthusiasm on delivering excellence!

Expected salary of £30-40k (dependant on experience), Car allowance, support towards achieving MRICS and other benefits.

Hybrid working – you will have the option to work from home once settled into the position with the expectation of office visits and travel to project sites as and when required.
