Job title: Site Manager

 Salary: 35000 - 40000

Full Time: Monday Friday 8:00am 17:00 -  45 hours a week (flexible hours)

  • 3-week router
  • First week Monday Friday
  • Second week Monday Friday including Saturday (7am 12pm) paid for hourly rate
  • Third week Monday Friday - including Sunday ( 7am 11am ) paid for half a day

We are a specialist in waste Operating across the breadth of the waste management chain, providing waste collection, treatment and recycling, and disposal services to around 2,000 local and national customers in the industrial, commercial and municipal sectors.

The Site manager will be covering a site based in Derby, the role will involve building strong working relationships with our onsite teams to support the businesses performance towards safe and compliant project delivery.  We are looking for someone who is experienced with health, safety and quality from a previous role.  Site manger  role is integral to our continued development as a business and we are entering into a very exciting time of growth and opportunity, as it will be fundamental in driving health and safety throughout and standardising for other sites.

This position offers the site manager to establish themselves with the company with the progression opportunities to move to other sites to standardise processes and to deliver the message.

Experience and training

  • COTC or working towards
  • First aid
  • Fire marshall
  • Loading shovel NPORs

Manager Duties

  • Maintain & follow H&S awareness on the site and follow all reporting requirements.
  • Ensure employees are trained and inducted appropriately and their work practices managed within applicable regulations.
  • Communicate and engage employees to foster an continual improvement environment.
  • Work closely with the Directors and Managers of all functions encouraging a cohesive team.
  • Responsible for optimum staff performance including appraisal, development, discipline, motivation.
  • Ensure all vehicles are run effectively and adhering to all transport and vehicle legislation.
  • Ensure the process areas are run effectively and efficiently both in terms of men and machines.
  • Approval of all quality, environmental and safety objectives, and targets.
  • Design and implementation of the quality, environmental and safety policies, and the Integrated Management System.
  • Review the companys integrated management system to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, effectiveness, and alignment with the strategic direction of the company.
  • To provide guidance on the release of information to external bodies.
  • Follow all environmental and occupational health and safety standards ensuring adherence and good practice is followed.
  • Ad-hoc projects to be completed for the business to progress and in support of the Directors.
  • Remain abreast of new legislation, machines and processes that will improve performance and service to customers.
  • Ensure consultation and participation of all employees on occupational health and safety matter
