Lamonby recruitment are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join a Multidisciplinary Consultancy near Guildford.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years industry experience on the commercial side. Ideally the successful candidate will be degree qualified and in return our client is looking to offer a salary range starting at £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. There is some flexibility in this for someone with an outstanding Building Surveyor background.
Building Surveyor Role
Our client is looking for a Building Surveyor who can come in and work with the Partners. As the successful Building Surveyor, you will be providing duties on a range of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Prepare scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works and Tendering
Determine the condition of existing buildings, identify and analyse defects, including proposals for repair
Undertake inspections to prepare interim and terminal schedules of dilapidations, including preparation and costing of schedules
Role Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years industry experience
Preferably educated to degree level in Building Surveying, although industry experience is more important
Awareness of current building regulations
Experience of planning and listed building applications
Ability to assess the correctness, performance to date, and likely future performance of the various Constituent elements that combine to make a building
Ability to diagnose faults and produce specifications of works
Have sound numeracy skills and required level of commercial acumen
Have strong interpersonal skills and proven negotiation skills
