Graduate Sales Engineer

Milton Keynes

Salary - 30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience

 

My client is looking to recruit a dynamic and driven Graduate to join their successful Aerospace business as a Sales Engineer

 

This opportunity would be ideal for a recent graduate, but a degree is not necessary, just confidence, drive, and a good work ethic. This opportunity has plenty of room to progress with time and will be a hands-on learning process with careful guidance from the Sales Manager and Sales Director

 

With the company on a growth mission, you will be handling existing accounts as well as going out to get new and exciting business for the company.

 

The appointed Graduate Sales Engineer will carry out the below duties

 

  • Sell the company as the leading solution provider in the industry
  • Develop relationships with key customers; understand their business, their strategy, their needs, and upcoming opportunities; influence their processes and decision-making to benefit the company.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Identify product improvements and new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to existing and prospective customers
  • Provide product, service, technical, and engineering information by answering questions and requests for specific customer requirements
  • Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, and completing sales
  • Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends
  • Implement and manage the timely delivery of key customer programs including communication strategies and issue resolution
  • Document account activity, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers; maintain forecasting reports
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis; expedite product resolutions

  • A technical background in Engineering ideally a degree or equivalent in engineering or aerospace.

 

This role is also ideal for anyone with a technical sales background looking for the next step in their career as there is potential for the chosen candidate for this role to step up to Sales Manager within the year
