Pest Control Officer needed in Kensington £16.60 ph ref 5215513

This role will involve

  • To carry out detailed inspections (including adjacent buildings or floors) to identify the likely source of infestation. To devise control/ eradication treatments for a wide range of pests (including, but not limited to rats, mice, fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, other crawling insects, wasps, squirrels and birds) in accordance with industry standards (taking all required precautions to prevent the contamination of food and water and access to the poisons by non-target species), COSHH assessments and operational procedures. To provide advice on how to deal with other animals, such as foxes.
  • To re-inspect infested premises, replenish consumed baits or change baits until the infestation is cleared and to recover all baits, poisons and traps once the programme is complete or if an unacceptable risk to health and safety to either the Pest Control Officer, other people, non-target species or any other aspect of the environment.
  • To initiate the team’s Notice Referral Procedure if the landlord/Managing Agent or Housing Association is required to take further measures to assist with eradicating an infestation and liaise with these bodies and residents to ensure implementation. This may include enforcement action.

Ideally candidates will have a full driving licence 

Full time hours on a temporary basis
