A lovely primary school in Carshalton are looking for a class teaching assistant to support pupil on a 1 to 1 basis in reception.

The role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be providing 1 to 1 support for a child in reception. The child has just joined the school and is currently being assessed for autism and other learning and developmental needs. You will be supporting the child in both in class during play-based learning, carpet activities and during some break times. As well as supporting in class you will also lead some 1 to 1 intervention sessions which will be guided by the SENCO and class teacher. 

The school are interested in applications from experienced SEN teaching assistants and also graduates who have experience working with children.  You will have good support from the school's SEND coordinator and class teachers and training will be given.

This role is offered as an ongoing contract basis starting in September 2023.
