Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A Buckinghamshire-based Engineering firm who pinoneer the Defence and Avionics industry are on the hunt for their next Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
With over 75 years in industry of innovative design ad complex systems the business are looking to further expand their growing R+D team!

If you are an experiened Engineer (5+ Years) who either has exposure to a Senior position or is looking for their next step up in the their career then we definitely want to hear from you!

Responsibilities of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Lead Mechanical Design of New Product Development (Full product Life-cycle)
• Produced Detailed Designs using 3D CAD (Ideally SolidWorks but open to other CAD packages)
• Concept Generation
• Produce Documentation to support Development
• Continuous Improvement of Processes and Tools
• Approving Engineering Drawings

Skills and Requirements of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Degree Educated
• Full Product Life-cycle Design Experience
• Experience of running or leading your own Design Projects
• Experience with FEA and/or CFD
• Experience with Tolerance Analysis (GD+T)
• Strong Understanding of ISO Standards
