Orion Rail are looking for an Electrical Fitter to join Europe's largest Rolling Stock Producer, maintainer and servicing organisation is looking for Mechanical and Electrical Experienced Engineers to join a well established team at a busy rail depot in East London

Position Summary for the Electrical Fitter:        

The role of the Electrical Fitter is to carry out Electrical overhaul including stripping and refitting. You will be specifically focused on modifications, interior strip and replace on modern Aventra Stock within a mid-sized maintenance depot.  This position is the key focal point for the safe and reliable running of the fleet and is a key requirement against the Service Agreement (SA). This is a safety Critical position working on a busy live rail maintenance depot and in this role you would be expected to complete the following:

• Work from written instruction (VMI)
• Work from Engineering drawings, working to specific measurements
• Remove large components such as axle boxes, bogies, valves and couplers
• Replacing components to correspond to engineering drawings

Person Profile for the Electrical Fitter:

The Electrical Fitter will be a highly self-motivated individual as training to develop will be given to these individuals. Attitude and enthusiasm is key for this role you should be able to follow detailed instructions as an eye for details is key to this role. Following on the job competency based training you will be able to work under your own initiative.
