Job Title: Senior Finance & Policy Officer
Salary: £30,986 
Location: Openshaw, Free onsite carpark
Job Type: Permanent, Office Based, Full Time, Monday-Friday


We are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance and Policy Officer to work within a charitable organisation. You will support the assistant Principal on the growth and development of one of the Colleges based in Openshaw and develop challenging income streams to make sure the college runs smoothly and grows.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the Colleges budgeting
  • Financial management and cost: models, systems, procedures, and controls for the College, to ensure all financial information is managed recorded and reported accurately including internal money streams
  • Working with local authorities, fee increases and balancing accounts
  • Presenting data to the Governor's 
  • Co-ordinate service policy development and manage systems to ensure policies are reviewed and shared with staff and stakeholders

Requirements :

  • AAT level 3 or equivalent finance qualification
  • Financial management costing and auditing to include budget /cost centre management / statutory accounting / cost models preferably within the charity sector
  • Commissioning
  • Experience of managing information systems (MIS)
  • Experience of policy development
  • We are seeking someone with commercial awareness, good influencing, communication, and negotiation skills along with excellent written skills
