Senior Control Systems Engineer

We are working with a hi-tech automation solutions employee-owned company specialising in the manufacture and development of bespoke special-purpose machinery. Due to a period of exponential growth, we have been exciting opportunity for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join the team.

The Role

Your role as a Senior Control Systems Engineer will require a highly motivated individual to create bespoke automation solutions for our clients' manufacturing and testing needs. You'll participate in the complete project life cycle, encompassing PLC/HMI design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This involvement spans from the initial stages of conception and sales support, through the build and commissioning phases, to installation and ongoing aftermarket support.

Duties as a Senior Control Systems Engineer

• Designing, coding, commissioning, and testing for the worldwide bespoke machinery.
• PLC/ HMI design and problem-solving throughout the entire life cycle.
• Design complex systems for bespoke automated equipment.
• System validation including onsite validation and Factory Acceptance Testing.

Skills and Experience as a Senior Control Systems Engineer

• Experience in the coding of PLCs and HMIs from scratch.
• Skilled in problem-solving methods.
• Experience in designing control systems for special-purpose machinery.
• Control of Servo drives and inverter AC drives.
• Basic electrical knowledge and proven experience.
