Job Description:

Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in a Primary School in Hoddesdon. The role is full time starting immediately, initially until the end of term, but it is likely to be extended beyond. The role will be across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, involving PPA cover across all year groups.

This Ofsted ‘Good’ rated Primary School has its ethos centred on creating a positive environment for every child to learn, grow and reach their full potential. The school has a 2 form-entry and is committed to promoting mutual respect and preparing every child for their future.

Role:

  • Able to deliver lessons and confidently lead a class across all year groups in the school
  • Upkeep a tidy and organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support students and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as a HLTA in a Primary School
  • Knowledge of the curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2
  • A recognised HLTA qualification and experience in this role
  • SEND experience is desirable
