Step Teachers are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2 day per week Intervention Teacher to join a primary school based in Barnet focussing on Year 2 - Year 6. As an Intervention Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing targeted support and assistance to students who require additional academic help to succeed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' learning journeys and contribute to their overall academic growth.

Responsibilities as a part-time Intervention Teacher:

  • Identify students in need of academic intervention through assessments, observations, and collaboration with colleagues
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address students' specific learning needs and goals
  • Provide individual or small-group instruction to students, focusing on areas of difficulty and reinforcing key concepts
  • Monitor students' progress regularly and adjust intervention strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and other support staff to coordinate efforts and maximise student success
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding students' progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of intervention activities, student performance data, and progress reports

To be considered for the part-time Intervention Teaching position you will have:

  • QTS
  • Proven experience working with students who require academic intervention or specialised support
  • Strong understanding of educational principles, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed
