We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Early Years Educator who has an interest in supporting young children with special educational needs to work in a nurture unit within a nursery school.

The role

This outstanding nursery school in Lambeth are looking for a caring Early Years Educator to work in their specialist nurture provision. The nurture base has been recently set up to support under 5s who have diagnosed/recognised additional needs across the borough of Lambeth. There are a variety of needs in the classroom including Autism, speech and language and global delay. The nurture base provides children with specialist learning and play activities based on their needs. There is also a focus on individual interventions delivered by staff within the provision and external professionals. 

As a Early Years Educator within the nurture base, you will be directly supporting these children and working as a deputy to the class teacher. You will work collaboratively with the other teachers and teaching assistants within the nuture base.  You should have a caring and resilient attitude and a passion or interest in working within SEND.

This lovely, friendly nursery school is part of a federation of early years schools across Lambeth. The school offers care and education for 2 to 4 year olds from 8.30 - 4.30 during term-time only. The school has excellent standards and pupils leave prepared and ready for primary school. The building is modern and stimulating for children with indoor and outdoor play and learning areas.

This role is to start ASAP is offered on a full-time contract basis.
