Step Teachers are currently working with a brilliant Primary School within the Newton Abbot area to cover a part-time role starting after February half term. This role will not require planning.

The role of the Primary Teacher entails covering set lessons within a variety of Primary settings. You teach students, mark assignments, and maintain records of their progress. The school strives to create a safe, high quality learning environment which acknowledges the importance of relationships and responsibilities as an important foundation for all  learning experiences.

Role: 

• Strong KS1/2 knowledge

• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed 

• Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 

• Ability to assess and report on your students when required 

• Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons 

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively  

Requirements: 

• Hold QTS or the equivalent of 

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience in Primary

• Living within or commutable distance from Newton Abbot
