A lovely primary school in Edgware are looking for two 1 to 1 Teaching Assistants to support two children in the school with Special Educational Needs.

The Roles

There are two roles available in the school to support pupils with Special Educational Needs

Role 1

The first role is working with a girl in the reception class. The child is Autistic and immature with S&L needs. She struggles socially. She still wears nappies but rarely soils herself although over the summer break has become much more aware of her toilet needs and the school expect her to be clean and dry quite soon. 

Role 2

The second role is supporting a girl within year 3 who has ADHD but is bright and able. She struggles socially and will need support both inside the classroom and during breaks. 

Both roles require Teaching Assistants who have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs. You will work closely with the class teachers and SENCO and be included within meetings and assessments. You will need to have a calm and caring approach and be able to commit to the role for the academic year.
