Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Electrical Design Engineer to join our expanding electrical and controls team.

About The Electrical Design Engineer Role

You will be responsible for electrical design and working with control system engineers to integrate the most effective and efficient electrical systems possible.

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Understand customer specifications and project requirements.
• Adhere to the Project Program for control system design milestones.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all activities.
• Create and update BoD & FDS.
• Generate diagrams, cable schedules, and sizing calculations for cables.
• Contribute to Design Risk Assessments and peer review designs for compliance.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers for equipment integration.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Produce technical documentation including Bill of Materials and testing documents.
• Select and procure EC&I equipment efficiently.
• Follow QA procedures for technical quality standards.

A successful Electrical Design Engineer will need:

• Experienced in hardware design of electrical control systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Familiar with Machinery Safety Design.
• Familiar with Variable Speed Drives.
• Familiar with 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, including CDM Regulations.
