Responsible for the production planning of works orders for customer order and buffer stock manufacture for relevant customers and own-brand products. This role will play a crucial role in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining optimal inventory levels in our fast-paced environment.

Production Planner key Responsibilities:

• Maintain demand schedule for new and existing orders on the MRP system.
• Maintain MRP system integrity to achieve release of works orders to agreed timeframes.
• Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure any issues affecting delivery are recognised and solutions identified.
• Production capacity planning of works orders to fulfil sales demand, balancing customer delivery requirements, available capacity and component availability.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency.
• Any other duties as required by Operations. 

Production Planner Metrics:

• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather information on production capacity, material availability, and resource constraints.
• Assess production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Work closely with production teams to balance workloads and optimize resource utilization.
• Develop best practices and tools for MRP implementation and its management
• Periodic review, adjustment and reporting of minimum stock levels and re-order quantities of own brand and key customer finished goods.

Production Planner Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience on MRP, CRM systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and manner (written, phone, face-to-face)
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High Level of numerical accuracy
