Job Description: Step Teachers are seeking a dedicated Intervention Teacher to deliver small group intervention sessions for Year 11 students in English and Maths. As an Intervention Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing additional support to students who may require extra assistance in these subjects to help them achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective small group intervention sessions in English and Maths for Year 11 students.
  • Identify and address the specific learning needs of each student within the intervention groups.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of key concepts.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students participating in intervention sessions.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to coordinate interventions and support strategies.
  • Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on student progress and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in a similar intervention role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 11 curriculum in English and Maths.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' academic growth.
