Metrology Technician 

Salary - Up to £38,000 p/a 

Location - Abingdon 

Job Type - Permanent 

Working hours - 9:00am - 5:30pm

As a Metrology Technician, you'll be instrumental in maintaining their commitment to precision and quality, ensuring our products exceed industry standards.

No metrology or measurement equipment experience is needed. Training will be provided where necessary, making this an exciting opportunity for growth and development!

Responsibilities

• Operating a wide range of metrology tools and equipment.
• Identify and report any non-conformities, deviations, or discrepancies, and work closely with the inspection and quality control teams to address and resolve them effectively.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of measurement data, inspection results, and calibration activities using appropriate documentation methods and software systems.
• Ensure that metrology equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated following standard procedures.

Essential

• Experience working in engineering and/or manufacturing
• Strong interest in measurement/metrology
• Organised and able to work independently, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• High level of attention to detail
