Job Description:

Step Teachers are working with a school in Newmarket to seek a full-time (open to part-time for the right KS1 Teacher) experienced KS1 Teacher, starting ASAP and running until the end of the academic year.

This is a "Good" Ofsted-rated school where adults and pupils share constructive relationships. Staff engage pupils in discussions about their learning, valuing their perspectives. Pupils feel heard and respected, with their opinions given due consideration. They exude happiness and confidence in their endeavours.

The school would consider a part-time KS1 Teacher provided they are a good fit for the school.

KS1 Teacher Role:

  • As a KS1 Teacher, you would need strong KS1 knowledge
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed 
  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons  to a class of approximately 28 pupils.
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement, them effectively  

Requirements: 

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of 
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a KS1 Teacher
