Key Responsibilities of an R.E Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Religious Education, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Develop innovative curriculum materials and resources to enhance student understanding and engagement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and respectful exploration of religious and ethical concepts.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to promote cross-curricular connections and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements of an R.E Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Religious Education or a related field.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to professional development and a willingness to participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities.
