Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Salary: Up to £46,000

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to work for a Global Design and Manufacturer near Andover who supply electromechanical products for a number of different industries including automotive, rail aerospace and defence. If you're an experienced Design Engineer who enjoys being part of the full product life cycle as well as new product development then this is a job you need to apply for.

To carry out the entire design and development process for new product development projects, with an aim to progress from concept to final volume production.

Primarily the role will encompass creation of new product designs through the use of core electro-mechanical engineering principles, 3D CAD, FEA, CFD, engineering formulas, equations, etc. This will also include:

• Working as part of a team and working on individual design projects
• Involved in the full life cycle of new/existing products
• Support and look at the production process'
• Creating new designs using the core electro-mechanical engineering principles, 3D CAD, FEA, CFD etc.
• You will also be involved in prototyping and testing

Requirement of a Senior Design Engineer:

• Mechanical Engineering background, good understanding of electrical principles (bonus), electro-mechanical experience (bonus)
• Preference is a Solidworks USER (other 3D CAD packages are considered)
• Plastic Mouldings & Metal Forms experience is important
• BEng/MEng, HND/HNC, MSc/BSc, Apprentice Trained - all considered
