Enclosing Machine Operator

Established for 20 years, my client is a well-established print business within Direct and Transactional Mail. Due to expansion, they are currently seeking Enclosing Machine Operators to work within their busy production department.

The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder with excellent pre-existing industry acquired skills; ideally with experience in setting up and running enclosing machinery. We are particularly interested to speak to candidates who have experience in setting up and operating equipment provided by manufacturers such as Buhrs, Kern, Norpak, Pitney Bowes, Bell & Howell, Bowe, Bluecrest, CMC, Sitma, Neopost (Quadient) etc. If you do not have experience on these machines, do not worry, as full training will be provided.

You will work on the 7am – 3:30pm shift pattern. Some flexibility is required around this as overtime is regularly available.

The Role:

• To operate or assist on equipment in the production area – primarily Buhrs enclosing lines.
• Check machinery output as defined by company procedure
• Enclosing and inserting items as defined by the standard company samples
• To perform quality checks on the produced item
• To resolve / inform others of machinery maintenance issues
• To correctly label and package items where required
• To maintain efficient machine speeds.

The Person:

• Has the ability to manage expectations around timescales and deliverables
• Can work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently
• Has a proactive approach to work – always willing to learn and working to improve processes to ensure business efficiency
• Can communicate effectively and build rapport with all departments across the business and with external suppliers
• Be flexible with their attitude towards work and task allocation, ensuring client demands are always met.

Salary + Benefits
The salary for this role is £25,000 and paying up to £29,000 for supervisors.
