Due to continued and consistent growth, Orion Automation are supporting a leading medical device company in recruiting for a Project Manager to be responsible for managing cross-functional project teams across a range of existing, new product and process improvement projects.

£45,000 p.a - £55,000 p.a + Excellent Benefits 

The Project Manager role will be based in Reading with approximately 2/3 days a week onsite per week.

The Role:

• Support ongoing manufacturing of high-quality products and spares.
• Develop, modify, and implement product design iterations in line with customer requests.
• Implement production process improvements.
• Head up the development of the integrated project plan, including budget, resource plans, and risk management plan.
• Clarify functional priorities and deliverables within the project, including resource needs and documentation requirements.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues in a timely and clear manner.
• Elevate issues to functional management, sustaining governance core team, as necessary.

About You:

• HND (Higher National Diploma) or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification is an advantage but not required.
• Experience in a medical device environment (ISO13485, ISO14071 & IEC60601), or other highly regulated industry.
• Ideally holds 3+ years' experience in a post-release design/engineering support of medium-volume, electro-mechanical products.
• Knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing change, and an understanding of design control.
• Ability to understand and update manufacturing and test documentation (e.g.: assembly and test procedures, Bills of Material, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, jig and equipment documentation).
• Skilled in process validation and verification activities for engineering change, including knowledge of IQ.OQ & PQ and Production Part Approval Process.
• Prince2 or other established project management methodology.
