Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the expanding design team.

 

 

About The Mechanical Design Engineer Role

You will be responsible for mechanical design and development of bespoke equipment and machines, along with progressing projects through all stages of a full product development lifecycle.

 

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

 

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for material handling equipment to meet project specs, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis for design viability.
  • Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated and efficient designs.
  • Perform system layout development and 3D modelling for optimal space and material flow.
  • Conduct simulations and testing for design validation and safety.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through thorough assessment and compliance with standards.
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source and integrate components for reliability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies for innovative solutions.

 

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need:

 

  • 3+ years of equipment design experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant certifications.
  • Demonstrate prior experience in a material handling equipment related sector.
  • Full Rights to work in the UK
