Position Overview: We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering to drive sales growth and foster client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, with the ability to understand complex engineering concepts and effectively communicate them to customers. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying client needs, proposing tailored solutions, and managing the sales process from lead generation to closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our electrical engineering products and services.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to customize solutions to meet client specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase product features and benefits.
  • Provide technical support to clients throughout the sales process, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.
  • Track sales activities and maintain accurate records using CRM software.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive offerings to inform sales strategies.


  • BTEC or NVQ or a City and Guilds within electrical engineering 
  • Proven experience in technical sales, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
