With a global presence spanning 150 countries, the company delivers sustainable solutions for Food & Beverage manufacturing. This team manages complex projects throughout the asset lifecycle, collaborating with major multinational producers to design and construct advanced facilities. The role entails overseeing multi-million-pound projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient and high-quality construction while meeting stringent industry standards.

 

Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join the expanding FBUK team.

 

 

About The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer Role

You will be responsible for mechanical development of bespoke equipment and pipework, along with progressing projects through all stages of a development lifecycle.

 

The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for:

 

  • Lead project delivery from scoping to commissioning.
  • Manage design, procurement, installation, and testing of stainless-steel pipework and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with PED, PSSR, API, ASME, PD5500, ISO, EN standards.
  • Oversee pressure testing, NDT techniques, and CE marking.
  • Specify materials: super duplex, stainless steel, carbon steel.
  • Utilize pipe stress analysis software, assess existing equipment.
  • Handle fee-only, turnkey, medium/large FEED, and EPC projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, project teams for timely, budget-friendly delivery.
  • Support business development, offer technical insights as needed.

 

A successful Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will need:

 

  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient in stainless steel pipework, valves, equipment.
  • Strong project management, communication skills.
  • Experience with engineering contracts, procurement.
  • Collaborative leader of multi-disciplinary teams.
