Step Teachers is in partnership with a primary school located on the outskirts of Huntingdon, and are actively seeking a Full-time 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP until the end of the academic year (19th July).

Position: 1-1 Teaching Assistant

You will be working 1-1 with a year 6 pupil who needs someone to be with them, to give them some breaks and time to listen when they need to talk.

Key Responsibilities of a 1-1 Teaching Assistant: 

  • Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth.
  • Assist with classroom management and ensuring a safe learning environment. 
  • Help assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Requirements of a 1-1 Teaching Assistant:

  • A minimum of 3 months of experience as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant in a UK-based educational setting is essential
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is desirable
  • Verifiable references from previous employers or placements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Passion for education and supporting the learning journey of students.
