Junior Buyer


Job Description:

Orion are proud to be representing a growing engineering business located in Newbury, who are looking to embed a Junior Buyer to join the team. What will the appointed Junior Buyer be doing?

  • Expedite past due orders and work backlog reports as needed.
  • Raising Purchase Orders
  • Manages supplier relationships.
  • Monitors and communicates supplier performance for delivery, quality, and cost management
  • Identifies and follows-up on internal customer issues, implement approved process improvements resulting in increased customer satisfaction, when needed.
  • Clearly communicate order status of orders to sales reps, managers, and production personnel

The Junior Buyer Must have:

  • Experience in purchasing support roles such as Sales Administrator, Sales Coordinator, Supply chain assistant. 
  • Excellent communication skills is a must and a confident communicator at all levels.
  • Experience using an inhouse MRP / ERP Systems as well as MS Office suites.
