Labels Specialist – New and Existing Business

This dynamic global packaging group is a leading provider of innovative packaging and label solutions worldwide. A specialist in delivering high-quality label and packaging solutions to clients across various industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and more.


Due to growth, it is now seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join its existing team as a Labels Business Development Manager. This is a DUAL role, a 50/50 split of new business sales and existing account management. 


As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales revenue in the labels sector by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You will play a pivotal role in promoting all products and services to customers across the UK and Europe, meeting sales targets, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organisation.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate leads through research, networking, and cold calling to identify potential clients interested in label solutions.
  • Manage and grow a selection of existing Key Accounts
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the label solutions available, capabilities, and value propositions to effectively communicate with prospects and clients.
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiations with clients to showcase the benefits of the label solutions and secure new business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and excellent customer experience.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to deal closure, including contract negotiations and post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.


For your application to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven track record of success in sales, in the labels/packaging industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with new and existing clients, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
