Junior Design Engineer - Crawley

Salary £28k to £32k DOE

A highly regarded and well-known Design & Manufacturing organisation who have been specialising in the creation of specialist machinery for some 30 years. Providing technical expertise in their field worldwide and to an exclusive clientele.

They allow you to be part of the full life cycle, seeing your designs from concept through to inception at their state-of-the-art facility in Crawley. As well as that they give you the opportunity to manage your world; from meeting customers, dealing with suppliers, and working closely with senior stakeholders within the business.

We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join the team to contribute to the development and maintenance of product quality.

The Role & Responsibilities of a Junior Design Engineer:

• Assist in Mechanical Design for the life cycle on the full range of products.
• Support in maintaining and updating drawing records and parts lists.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously under guidance.
• Effectively communicate technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to support project goals/deadlines.

The Requirements of a Junior Design Engineer:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software (ideally Inventor).
• Some experience in a Design Engineering role.
• Interest in machinery design; conveyors, mechanisms, packaging or similar.
• Ability to learn and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
