Test Technician

Salary - Up to £28,000 p/a

Working Hours - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location - Reading

Summary: Join the team as a Test Technician and play a pivotal role in supporting the Test Engineer with various projects passing through the Test laboratory. From new product introductions to field support for current products, you'll be at the heart of ensuring the quality and performance of the company's offerings.

Duties and Responsibilities of Test Technician:

• Monitor ongoing test processes and generate comprehensive reports to track progress.
• Develop automated test processes to efficiently validate product performance and functionality.
• Conduct new supplier/component approval tests and prepare detailed reports on the findings.
• Assist with off-site certification testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications for the Test Technician:

• While a BTEC or higher qualification in Electronics/Software engineering would be advantageous, it's not a necessity.
• Preferably, at least a GCSE grade 5 or equivalent in English and Mathematics.

Desired Skills & Experience for the Test Technician:

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical work approach are essential.
• Ability to draft concise technical reports to communicate findings effectively.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
