Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Scientific Officer to support with the generation and maintenance of preclinical mouse models of human cancer and to be involved with the testing the models for response to therapy.

You will use established protocols to conduct in vivo preclinical pharmacology studies and you will prepare patient samples and perform in vivo work including implanting cells for xenograft studies or patient tumour tissue for PDC studies, drug administration and tumour monitoring. You will work with industrial drug developers and should have a basic knowledge of cancer biology and in vivo pharmacology.

You will have relevant laboratory experience and hold a BSc (or equivalent) in biology related discipline, or you will have equivalent relevant experience and be a current or previous holder of a Home Office Personal Licence (PIL A and B) or equivalent under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. You will have effective communication skills both written and verbal and have previous experience using Office 365 and specialist software systems.
