Position: Spanish Teacher:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages with a specialization in Spanish to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school located in Norwich. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will have the potential opportunity to assume the additional responsibility of Acting Head of Spanish, demonstrating leadership and vision within the department.

Key Responsibilities of a Spanish Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Spanish language instruction to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. 
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for language learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and enhance the MFL curriculum, contributing to the department's continuous improvement.
  • As Acting Head of Spanish, lead and manage the Spanish department, including overseeing curriculum development, departmental meetings, and staff development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Spanish Teacher
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Leadership experience or potential, with a vision for advancing the Spanish department.
