Job Description:
Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent secondary school to locate a Design Technology teacher for a long-term position for a school within the Norwich area. This role will require planning and marking.
The school is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school that continues to be good. Behaviour in the school has improved, and the head teacher has a clear vision for the school. The sixth form on-site offers various courses to suit their needs. Students achieve well in most subjects.
Role of a Design Technology Teacher:
- Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Design Technology
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
- Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements to be a Design Technology Teacher:
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Design Technology at secondary school level
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- A relevant Design Technology degree is desirable
