Sign Maker / Fitter

Our client, based in Aylesbury, is a leading signage and vehicle livery company who have been operating for over a century. They are currently looking for an experienced Sign Maker and Fitter to join their dynamic team and be part of their continued success.

We are keen to speak to candidates who have a mixture of experience as an all-rounder – someone with experience of sign making and fitting, or one or the other, who would be open to ongoing training and development.

You’ll work on average 2 days a week at site, sometimes with early starts, the rest of the time will be spent at the unit either making signage or fitting graphics to vehicles or other substrates.

The Role:

• All aspects of the signage production process including operating large format printers, saws, cutters, bevellers, laminating and finishing equipment
• Assembly, fabrication, and installation of signage
• Application of vinyl and graphics to vehicles, including part and full wraps
• Planning jobs in hand
• Conducting site surveys and speaking with clients
• Ensure work area and premises are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Maintain excellent customer relationships at all times

The candidate:

• Previous experience of sign making / fitting including vinyl graphics
• Driving licence
• Excellent organisational, communication (verbal and written) and customer skills
• Must be practical and dexterous, with a good eye for detail
• An active team worker
• Able to manage workflow in a timely manner
• Computer literate
• Ability to work on own initiative and multitask various jobs at the same time
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary up to £33,000 based on experience

This position is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm with possible overtime and there are no overnight stays required.
