A ‘good’ secondary school in Haringey are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from September. Whether you have previous experience or want to gain it, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Being a Teaching Assistant can be the ideal stepping stone to becoming a teacher in the future!

SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Provide one-on-one or within small groups.
  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
  • Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, especially in an educational setting, is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant you should have the patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Willingness to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience working with SEN students is welcome, but not essential.
