The Health and Safety Officer's role is to create safety documentation including Risk Assessments, PUWER assessments and Operating Procedures. Additionally, you will be required to propose ways to reduce risks and develop/implement solutions with the Safety Team and department heads, to maintain and review existing safety documentation, deliver in house training relating to safety which would include Toolbox Talks on new or amended risk assessments, Manual handling training and the Safe use of PPE.   

What we would like from the Health and Safety Officer:

• Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH)
• Up to date knowledge of current legislation and standards relating to Health and Safety in the workplace
• Experience of creating safety documentation including Risk Assessment, Assessments and Operating Procedures, ideally in relation to manufacturing equipment and processes
• NEBOSH would be desirable

What we offer the Health and Safety Officer:

• Salary between £36,000 to £44,000
• 22 days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays (rising to 25 after 3 years' service)
