Our client, based in Braford, have been operating for over 30 years and experts in things print, including commercial, digital and packaging,

They are looking for an experienced Pre-press/Reprographics Operator to operate a CTP, load plates and make impositions on XMF. Please note, XMF experience is not necessary, but you should be open to learn.  

The Role

• CTP Plate Production: Operate and maintain CTP systems to produce high-quality printing plates for various commercial print jobs.
• Imposition Layout: Create and optimize imposition layouts to ensure efficient use of materials and precise alignment for printing.
• Plate Mounting: Mount plates on the platemaker, ensuring accurate positioning and secure attachment for flawless printing results.
• File Preparation: Process and adjust digital files to meet technical specifications for impositions and plate production.
• Quality Assurance: Perform detailed quality checks on impositions, plates, and mounted plates to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CTP equipment and platemakers to minimize downtime and maintain peak performance.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the prepress, design, and print production teams to ensure a seamless workflow and timely project completion.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of production activities, including imposition layouts, plate outputs, and equipment maintenance logs.

The Candidate:

• Accustomed to commercial printing impositions.
• Previous experience operating CTP or willing to learn
• Experience with Fujifilm xmf is desirable
• Attention to detail
• Reliable
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Ability to be flexible assisting with overtime where possible.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary for this role is up to £30,000 and is dependant on experience It is Monday to Friday, working 9am – 5pm. You will receive 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, ongoing support and development and more!
